Same Skirt, Different Day

Nothing, in my opinion, is better than a piece that you can wear multiple ways, for multiple occasions, with things you already have in your closet. Remember this post from last week? I mentioned that this suede skirt from Hautelook has been a staple for me lately - from birthday bar hopping to tailgating to a casual daytime outfit, it's done it all. Suede skirts are huge this fall (again), and choosing a fun color (other than your typical black or camel) is a way to make this trend your own. I've included a few shoppable options below - mostly in the burnt red shade I'm wearing.

Another one of my favorite things is this long black vest I have on (similar here) - I think I wore it out practically every single night I was in Europe last fall, and it's been just as versatile since then. I scored it at Nordstrom Rack last August (as in 2015) but I found some similar options for you linked below - I've also seen a close match at Target! I really like the long vest/coat trend happening right now because I think its a great way to streamline your look from head to toe. With this outfit, I had on chunky booties, a short skirt, and a boxy tank - but after I threw on a vest that hits at the same length or longer than the skirt, things were automatically pulled together. It's a really easy way to look more polished, and a good layering piece when the weather hasn't quite gotten to normal fall temps yet.

I have some fun posts coming up - from some festive decorating and entertaining ideas, more Fit Gal's Guide installations, and great outfits, we're gearing up for a fun winter together. Don't forget to follow along by joining my email list - I send out weekly or biweekly (depending on my level of life craziness) with a Friday Five just for subscribers. 1. Such a cute look, girly! I'm still super loving that skirt. I also love the one you linked from Kohl's with the scallop hem! So many fun styles!
